JACKSON TIDUS LAW

Gregory Powers is the Chief Operating Officer of Jackson Tidus and currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is a Shareholder in the Firm’s Land Use Development Services Group. Mr. Powers represents landowner and developer clients in all aspects of land use and entitlements for residential, industrial, and commercial projects across California. His practice focuses on land use planning and development entitlements, environmental laws and regulatory matters, and governmental affairs. He advises landowners and developers with residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects, including due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, permitting, and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”). Mr. Powers represents private and public clients in administrative hearings, and in all aspects of litigation before State and Federal courts.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Powers was Regional Land Use Counsel for one of the largest private master developers in the western United States. He was responsible for environmental review, entitlement processing, utilities, infrastructure planning, and permitting for a multitude of residential and mixed-use projects across California.

Mr. Powers has also served as a City Attorney for several cities and as General Counsel and Special Counsel for various school districts, water districts, resource conservation agencies, non-profits, and joint powers authorities in California. He advises agency clients on governmental laws, including the Ralph M. Brown Act, the Political Reform Act, the Mitigation Fee Act, and public construction and bidding laws.
