Please note that the full $85 lunch fee will be charged to those who RSVP and do not show up to the event. This fee covers the no-show cost charged for the meal by the Pacific Club.


Wendy Bucknum
Director of HOA for Crede Group

Ms. Bucknum serves as a board member on the Building Industry Association’s Orange County Chapter, is Past-President of the Orange County Regional Chapter of Community Associations Institute, serves on the Chapter’s Legislative Support Committee, is a Delegate Emeritus on the California Legislative Action Committee and serves on the Federal Legislative Action Committee for CAI. Ms. Bucknum is the current Mayor Pro Tem and Past -Mayor of the City of Mission Viejo – currently serving on the Mission Viejo City Council since November 2014. She served as Commissioner on the Local Area Formation Commission, Orange County (LAFCO), Vice Chair of the OC Council of Governments (OCCOG), Mission Viejo City Commissioner for Community Services Commission for four years and as Chair of the Board of the South Orange County Economic Coalition and is an Emeritus board member of the California Women’s Leadership Association.

Fred Whitney entered the Association industry in 1998 and presently serves as counsel to some of the largest master planned communities in California. Fred has successfully tried cases on issues involving CC&R enforcement, contract disputes and complex election issues. Through this representation, Fred has had the privilege of successfully arguing Association industry issues before the California Appellate Court, which has resulted in published Appellate opinions setting standards within the Community Association industry. Fred presently serves as the editor of the CACM Law Journal, giving him the opportunity to interact directly with leading industry professionals throughout the state of California on a regular basis. Fred studied law at the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating in 1996, where he excelled in the study of Real Property and Professional Ethics.
