CEO Real Estate, Thomas “Matt” Miller
Thomas ‘Mat” Miller, Chief Real Estate Officer for the County of Orange, is responsible for the management of the CEO Real Estate teams that administer and transact all County real estate matters, including acquisition, disposition, leasing, licensing, and development of real estate interests on behalf of all County departments and agencies. The department he manages provide an array of real estate services to various departments within the County, as well as ongoing administration and planning related to the County’s real estate portfolio. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and his Masters and law degree cum laude from Syracuse University.
Deputy Chief, Brian Bauer
Brian Bauer, Deputy Chief Real Estate Officer for the County of Orange within the County Executive Office, areas of responsibility include the pursuit of revenue generation for the County via P3 partnerships, the acquisition and disposition of real property, leasing, and addressing the needs of the County’s various departments, which include John Wayne Airport and the Orange County Flood Control District. The County P3’s developments include the $450M Dana Point Harbor, the $200M Laguna Niguel Town Center, and the $160M Majestic Chino Heritage development. Mr. Bauer holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from CSU Long Beach and a law degree from Loyola Law School.
