So. California Association of Governments (SCAG)
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is the regional planning agency for six counties (including Orange County) and 191 cities in Southern California. Representing 19 million people and covering more than 38,000 square miles, SCAG is responsible for a variety of planning and policy initiatives to encourage a more sustainable Southern California now and in the future. SCAG serves as the regional forum for cooperative decision making by local government elected officials and its responsibilities in fulfillment of federal and state requirements for transportation, housing, air quality, and other planning programs. Mr. Ikhrata will provide an overview of SCAG’s key regional initiatives and planning for the future of Orange County and Southern California.
