Ms. Newman’s presentation will cover insights into her clients’ success stories including Uptown Newport, IKEA at Home Ranch, and The Residences of Newport Center. She will also address SB 9 & 10.
Ms. Newman is one of the foremost Orange County experts in real estate entitlement focusing on both Government and Community Relations. Her career began at the Irvine Company where she served as a Vice President of Entitlements. During her twenty-year span as both an Irvine Company Executive and Land Use Consultant, Ms. Newman participated in major land use entitlements such as the 3,000-acre Tustin Ranch Specific Plan and the 12,000-acre East Orange General Plan. Those efforts included the extension of Jamboree Road thru the MCAS Base and the completion of the Toll Roads. Her efforts with the Irvine Company also encompassed significant Newport Center entitlements.
During her extensive career Ms. Newman has worked for many key Orange County developers and institutions, including C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, Hoag Hospital, Concordia University, New Home and Shopoff Realty Investments.
Ms. Newman holds a BA in Political Science from San Diego State University. She attended the MIT/Harvard Program on Negotiation and was given the National Association of Women Owned Businesses – Orange County’s Pioneer of the Year Award.
